The legacy was carried forward with remarkable foresight by his son, Shri Narayan Lal Lohia. In 1960, at a time when consumer-ready salt packaging was virtually unheard of in India, He further strengthened this innovation by establishing one of India's earliest professional salt-grinding operations and promoting hygienically packed salt in sealed pouches—setting new benchmarks for quality, consistency, and consumer trust.
This was far more than a business initiative; it was a visionary step that transformed the way salt was sold and consumed in India. By introducing branded, processed, and professionally packaged salt to the market, helped lay the foundation for the modern salt industry. He was not merely selling a commodity—he was creating an entirely new standard for quality and reliability.
